Organizing a kid's birthday bash can be quite a task, especially when you're short on ideas. To keep the party lively and captivating each year, it's important to plan ahead and choose a theme. Kids love many things, but you surely can't go wrong with animals. To make a cool animal-themed b-day party you can go with either wild, farm animals, or of course, dinosaurs. Among the invitations, animal props, food and other things, here's what you need to do.

Invite Your Guests With Theme Party Invitations

Before you get the party started, you first need to invite the guests. One way to do it is by printing the invitations at home using cardstock paper. But if you're not really into DIY stuff, no worries! You can always find pre-made invitations and simply fill in the names. Just make sure to include all the important details like who's celebrating the birthday, the address, and of course, the starting time.

Get The Table Ready

When it comes to kids' birthday parties, it's always a good idea to have a buffet filled with candies, cookies, and other snacks. This way, you'll save time and nerves, and the children can have a blast. Of course, you can also set up a table with plates and glasses but don't expect the kids to sit still and have a calm party.

Don't forget that the tablecloth works as a decor as well. You can find jungle-themed ones at any store that sells party supplies. If possible, go for a paper tablecloth. To match the theme, choose one with red and white stripes. Next, get some plastic bowls or jars to hold all the candies and snacks. Plastic is the safest option for children. You can also decorate the wall next to the table with jungle-themed banners or letters spelling out the birthday boy or girl's name. Or, if you're feeling creative, you can go for something like "Snack Bar" or "Happy Birthday".

Jungle Themed Party Food

Whip up some "jungle juice" by mixing different fruit juices and adding tropical fruits for a refreshing twist. Make some animal-shaped sandwiches using cookie cutters to make it extra fun and perfect for the little ones. Add a healthy and vibrant touch to your menu by serving fruit skewers with a variety of exotic fruits. Let your creativity run wild with jungle-themed cupcakes topped with edible animal toppers or fondant leaves. Make sure everyone is seated while enjoying the food to avoid any accidents with skewers. Also, be mindful of any allergies your guests may have and avoid including those foods in your menu.

No jungle-themed birthday party can go without some jungle decorations. One great idea is to get some animal props and cardboard. Of course, you'll need a few with animals such as kangaroos, zebras, lions, koalas and gorillas. To make it even more authentic, and as if the kids just came there to explore the wilderness, you can choose a Safari Jeep cutout.

If you're throwing a farm-themed birthday party, then it's a smart idea to choose farm animal party props. Horses, chickens, pigs and cows are a great choice. Your kid isn't a fan of any of these? Maybe you can make them by throwing a prehistoric jungle party, with dinosaurs cutouts. That would surely spark an interest in both your kid and their invitees.

Selfie Frame with a Jungle Theme

Kids will adore this, plus it's a fantastic way to gather everyone for a group photo. Placing the animal cardboard cutouts at the entrance of the party venue is a brilliant idea. This allows guests to snap a picture right as they arrive. If we assume that you're throwing this party outdoors, then let the garden "help" you with its greenery. Place the cutouts in the grass or near trees or bushes. To make things even cooler, you can hire people dressed as safari goers, or even better they can wear animal costumes.

Add Backdrop Banners

If you want to make your party truly complete, consider using a backdrop banner. These banners are large and cover the entire wall, giving the illusion that you're stepping into the jungle. They're perfect if you want to add some props without worrying about smaller details. Look for a banner made from 510gsm material that's resistant to UV rays, rain, mould, and tearing. Make sure it also has fire-retardant properties for added safety. These banners are usually delivered in two pieces, but you can easily join them with masking tape and take them apart when needed. The top and bottom of the banner are hemmed for extra durability, and they usually have eyelets at the top (and optionally at the bottom) for hanging or fixing.

Additional Accessories

Now that you have all the big items ready, it's time to consider some additional accessories that the kids will enjoy. Get your child involved and ask them what kind of things they would like to have if they were part of a real jungle. Most kids would enjoy having their masks.  Opt for masks with different designs of animals such as tigers, lions, monkeys, and elephants. Hire a makeup artist who will paint their faces, helping them "become" their favourite animal or dinosaur.
